Kedarnath, one of Lord Shiva's twelve Jyotirlinga pilgrimage sites, is located in the Rudraprayag area of Uttarakhand. One of the Chardhams, Kedarnath is located at an elevation of 3586 metres amid stunning Himalayan peaks and close to the Mandakini River's head. At the mouth of the Mandakini River, it is situated amidst the breathtaking Himalayan highlands. Lord Shiva, the defender and destroyer, is also known by the name Kedar. Gaurikund is 25 kilometres away from the temple. The temple's kapat will open on April 25, 2023. Kedarnath Temple's beautiful architecture is thought to be older than 1000 years.
